School Meal Service
At Ysgol Dinas Bran our school meals are outsourced and provided by Denbighshire School Meals Service. Denbighshire is committed to healthy eating and works hard with schools to promote the health and welfare of pupils. More information is available on their website Denbighshire School Meals.
Here at the Restaurant we serve Breakfast, Break and Lunch.
We generally have a THEME DAY lunch once a month the themes include KFC, KEBAB, INDIAN, ITALIAN, MEXICAN, CHINESE to name a few.
At Ysgol Dinas Bran restaurant we have won a National award for the school meals we serve to pupils.
How to pay for school meals
The Restaurant does not use cash registers – instead we use a Biometric system using fingerprints. Where your child puts their finger on a scanner at the till and their account comes up on the till for us to debit the account accordingly. The pupil is also able to view their account balance at the till. You will have received information regarding this in their information pack at the start of year 7.
The easiest and safest way to pay school meals is to use ParentPay, the school will give you a unique ParentPay code for your child to allow you to top up their account online or at a PayPoint in local shops! by using this system you will be able to see what your child eats on a daily basis. Please note that the kitchen won’t accept cheques.
We have a 5*hygiene rating which we have retained for many years.
