Dear Parent / Guardian,
We’re getting in touch to inform you about the support available to young people across Wales as a result of the Welsh Government’s Young Person’s Guarantee which can help make a real difference to their future. In November 2021 the Welsh Government officially launched the Young Person’s Guarantee – a commitment that everyone under the age of 25 in Wales will have the offer of support to gain a place in education or training, finding a job or becoming self-employed. The commitment was designed in response to the pandemic and aims to lessen the effects of COVID and assist young people in pursuing their career goals and a positive future for themselves. We want to make sure that you and the young people in your household are aware of the support available to them and how it can be accessed. Whether they need advice on carrying on with their studies, getting a job or moving onto the right course next term/next year, finding an apprenticeship, support with writing a CV, starting their own business or simply working out which option is the best one for them, the Young Person’s Guarantee can provide the helping hand needed to take the next step. Information on all these areas and more is freely available via the Working Wales website which can be accessed here: workingwales.gov.wales/how-we-can-help/young-personsguarantee . A team of experts and advisors who can provide free support can be contacted via web chat, Skype, email and text services on workingwales.gov.wales or by phoning 0800 028 4844. In Denbighshire, you can also contact your Working Denbighshire service who provide employment and skills support through Communities for Work and more. https://www.denbighshire.gov.uk/en/jobs-and-employees/workingdenbighshire/forms/contact-us-working-denbighshire.aspx
