Student Council
On the last day of term members of Ysgol Dinas Brân Student Council hosted the Denbighshire County Council School Council Forum in the Learning Zone. Students from every Secondary school in Denbighshire met to discuss issues affecting them as well as sharing good practice and ideas. The meeting was Chaired by members of the YDB Student Council who did an excellent job and were an absolute credit to themselves and our school. Each school gave an update of activities from their own schools with some excellent work going on throughout the County. Our thanks to the members of Denbighshire Catering Services who attended to answer questions raised by the Students. Students were very passionate and knowledgeable and our visitors faced some tough, but polite, questioning. Visiting students had a tour of the school and a lovely light lunch provided by our Bwtyr Castell and all visiting students and staff were very complimentary on all YDB had to offer. The next DCC Forum meeting will be held at County Hall Ruthin in July and our next internal Student Council meeting will be May 12th, Our thanks to Sian Alwena Jones Lead Engagement and Progression Officer (Learner Voice) for her continued support and facilitating this valuable student resource.
