It’s hard to believe that another year has passed by so quickly but certainly one of the most influential and educational experiences I and four girls from Ysgol Dinas Brân had in 2016 was our visit to Finland.
Ysgol Dinas Brân has been very fortunate to have been accepted to take part in a minority language project which is funded by Erasmus +.
Erasmus+ is a European Union programme for education, training, youth and sports. The aim of Erasmus+ is to modernize education, training and youth work across Europe. Running for seven years, from 2014 until 2020, Erasmus+ invites different institutions to apply for funding every year to fulfil creative and worthwhile activities.
Six countries are taking part in the project as seen in the map below. The project will run for three years and during those three years pupils will have the opportunity to visit Finland, Poland and Italy and the project will come to an end when schools visit Wales in 2018.
