An old favourite returns

Once again the paths above Llangollen will be ringing to the cheerful voices of some 600 students and staff as we circumnavigate Castell Dinas Brân hill in aid of our ‘Curtain Up’appeal. This event was once a fixture on the school calendar and we are delighted that it is making a re-appearance this summer.
Having successfully launched the appeal at Brynkinalt Hall this event will engage every student from years 7 -10 on July 3rd. Students have been issued with sponsorship forms and asked to aim to raise at least £20 each. (Students are warned not to approach strangers for sponsorship). This can be through single donations or through sponsorship per lap completed. We estimate that everyone will be able to walk three laps and many people, especially those who chose to run the course, could complete up to 10 laps.

As an added incentive to raise as much money as possible, there are prizes in each year group for the person who raises the most money. Top prize is free entry to Alton Towers on the day of the school trip.
Students must bring their sponsorship form to school no later than the day of the walk so that the number of laps completed can be verified by a member of staff and the amount of money to be collected and brought in to school can be estimated. Details of how to pay the money in are on the sponsorship form. Cash and cheques payable to Ysgol Dinas Brân are acceptable as is payment through Parent Pay.

We anticipate full participation and hope you will help your child to find as many sponsors as possible.
The sooner we raise the £100,000 the sooner we will have a refurbished performance space.
